At a conference of our peers last night, GE’s GENIUSLINK model was recognized as the industry standard for driving financial impact through innovation.
What has always distinguished our model from our peers, is that we know the key to success isn’t simply to innovate.
To drive out-sized results, leaders need to execute business activities in a very different way. They still need to leverage automation, people, and companies to execute get work done. What’s different, and essential, is that leaders now need to think of all their resources as a ‘talent stack’, and add the new layers of experts available through tools like gig, crowdsourcing and open innovation. They need to do this on a sustained basis, not through ad-hoc projects. Designing and managing work in this way requires a different skill set. So most importantly, they need GENIUSLINK.
